So I haven't done this in a while but I'm guna continue the hunger games challenge! Hope u like!
After the chariot parade, I found myself in a ugly pink bed thinking about Seth. I wondered if he saw the ceremony. My heart stung as I thought about the hug Dew and I shared. I shook it off, Seth wasn't the kind to get jealous. I drifted to sleep still wearing my parade dress and woke up with sequins stuck in my skin. Effie walked in my room without bothering to knock. I rubbed my eyes to confirm that the yellow mess of color in front of me was in fact Effie. She hung up a black shirt and shorts on the back of my door. Faster than I thought I would, I got out of bed and changed. The clothes fit like our clothes back home. I peeked down at the front of my shirt. It read; District 13 with my name underneath it. I was so tired the night before that I found my room without even recognizing where I was. I walked out and instantly received a migraine from the awful color. In district 13, there was hardly any color. Everything was either black, brown, or grey. Dew was spread out across a gigantic yellow couch watching reruns of previous hunger games. I sat down next to his feet which made him sit up. He looked down to the front of my shirt, mine matched his. I immediately turned away when I realized what he was stating at. "Sorry" "It's cool" the tv volume was on low an Dew was concentrating contently. I started to miss Seth. Hope soon found a way to my heart. I needed to win. We needed to win. Today was training day. We reached the training facility. We were the last district to get there and all eyes were on us. I was defiantly the smallest one in the room. Everyone looked huge. The trainer ha already given the speech and did not look like he wanted to give it again. We al broke into groups and went to try out the facility. Dew and I spread out. I went to the spear throwing first, which didn't end quite as I wanted. The first 3 throws hit right on target but the next 2 almost hit some of the tributes. Embarrassing. I left to go try the wrestling section. I knew I was going to do well here. My dad and I wrestled all the time and mom taught me some of her martial arts she learned in school. My turn was next and Dew was already in the ring. He was against a girl almost twice his size. I felt bad for him. He wasn't going to fight her and he would get pummeled. The girl threw some fast punches that could've taken him out in seconds if he wasn't quicker. Surprisingly he grabbed her around the legs and three her over like it was no problem. My eyes grew wide. He was strong, scary strong. I was next. My opponent was another girl a little taller than myself. The bell rung and she ran at me. I reacted quickly and found my foot in her shoulder. She fell but got up just as fast. She threw a punch in my gut and I shot back. Wincing, my fist popped her mouth and she fell back again. The bell rang. Finally, something went right. No one clapped or acknowledged the fact that the fight happened. We all just left.
